Rambling Club

Trinity Church Rambling Club was founded fairly soon after the formation of Trinity Church from three previous churches in Cheadle, so has been in existence for almost 40 years. Our aim is to foster a love of walking in the beautiful surrounding countryside whilst enjoying Christian Fellowship.

Membership of the Club is ecumenical, with friends joining us from other churches in the area. In fact anyone who enjoys walking and has boots is welcome in the Club. The current membership totals just over 40, including some of the founder members.

Most of our walks are between 5 and 7 miles in length and generally range from easy to moderately difficult. We undertake a walk once a month (on the second Saturday), leaving from Trinity Church at 10.00am. A programme of walks for the year is provided to members at the beginning of the year.

In addition to the monthly walks we have a number of social events, including a guided walk (stroll) around a place of interest (we have visited Chester, Leek, Nantwich, Buxton and Congleton in recent years) an annual dinner at a local restaurant and a hot pot supper following our AGM. We also arrange weekends away in alternate years.
